Groups

Learn how to create groups, manage groups and use groups.

Creating a group

To create a group:

  • Click “Find Groups” at your profile page (You can find it from left side menu).
  • Click “Create a Group”.
  • Enter your group name, and group description.
  • Click “Create Group”and “Continue.”
  • Choose the group settings such as privacy options and group invitation settings.
  • Click “Next Step”.
  • Upload Group Image and click “Next Step.” You can also click “Next Step” to skip this step.
  • Choose who can create albums in the group and click “Next Step.”
  • Upload group cover image and click next step.
  • Invite friends by clicking the + button.
  • Click “Finish.”

Managing a group

Group admins and moderators can remove or block a member from a group.

To remove or block a member:

  • Click “Groups” at your profile page and find your group.
  • Click “Manage” from the group navigation.
  • Click “Members” from the sub-menu.
  • Find the member you want to remove or block.
  • Click on the member’s name and select “Remove” or “Ban” member.
  • Click “Confirm.”
  • Click “Groups” at your profile page and find your group.
  • Click “Manage” from the group navigation.
  • Click “Members” from the sub-menu.
  • Choose option “Banned” from the filter.
  • Click “Unban”.
  • Click Confirm.

Removed members will have to request to join the group again if they wish to rejoin. Banned members won’t be able to find the group in search or see any of its content, and they can’t be invited to the group again by members.

Only current group admins can make someone an admin or moderator.

To make someone an admin or moderator of your group:

  • Click “Groups” at your profile page and find your group.
  • Click “Manage” from the group navigation.
  • Click “Members” from the sub-menu.
  • Find the member you want to make an admin or moderator.
  • Click “Edit” from the member’s name and select change role to “Moderator” or “Administrator.”

Admins and moderators can remove posts from their group and give feedback about why the post was removed.

To remove a post from your group:

  • Click “Groups” at your profile page and find your group.
  • Find the post you want to remove and click on the post.
  • Click “Delete.”
  • Click “Confirm.”
  • Click “Groups” at your profile page and find your group.
  • Click “Manage” from the group navigation.
  • Click “Delete.”
  • Select I understand the consequences of deleting this group.
  • Click “Delete Group.”

Joining to group

  • Click “Find Groups” from left side navigation menu.
  • In the search bar at the top, enter some keywords for the group you’re looking for.
  • Select the group then click “Request Membership” below the cover photo.

Depending on the group’s settings, you may have to wait for a group admin to approve your request.
